  • Advocate to Implement the National FP Blueprint; fulfilment of the London   FP2020 commitment of funding FP programs with additional $8.3m/annum
  • Social safety nets e.g. Maternity vouchers or conditional cash transfers programmes
  • Recognize that investment in Family Planning is the most cost-eective intervention for the reduction of maternal deaths, and population development.
  • Community based health insurance scheme;Access to other Life-saving medicines

Neonatal, Infant and Child Survival Interventions

  • Universal coverage for SBA;
  • Promote innovations in newborn care e.g. sepsis, KMC
  • Addressing cultural & Social determinants;
  • Institutionalizing PHCUOR

Scale-up nutrition interventions and Malaria prevention

  • Food Fortification; BCC (Breastfeeding)/demand for nutrition
  • Local production of complementary foods/RUTF/RUSF
  • BCC for ACTs and LLINs

Adolescent Health and Demographic Dividend

  • Comprehensive adolescent programming, safe spaces for adolescents
  • Increase Secondary School enrolment and retention rates, especially for girls
  • Advocate for deliberate investment in young persons (youth bulge) – healthy work population – demographic dividend

Effective Birth and Civil Registration

  • Increased accountability for every childbirth: appropriate & mandatory registration
  • Increased accountability for every death especially of pregnant women and children

Private Sector Involvement for sustainable logistics for commodities and life-saving medicines for MNCH

  • Increased engagement in the institutionalization of the PHCUR concept
  • Improving access to low-cost capital financing for manufacturers and distributors
  • Inclusion of life-saving commodities in State and Federal government procurement plans can catalyze initial investments in production capacity
  • Fostering public-private partnerships at state level facilitate improved quality and increased service utilization (e.g. route-to-market investments, ETS)
  • Enabling environment for local production of life saving commodities and medicines for MNCH
