African Hand Craft Market in Turkey inaugurated by Mrs Aisha Buhari

Nigeria was among five countries for the inauguration of the African Handcraft Market and House of Culture in Ankara,Turkey .

Nigeria was joined by Ethiopia,Guinea,Mali and the host country Turkey where the spouses of the leadership of the various countries performed the ceremony in Ankara .
Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Muhammadu Buhari in her address noted that the establishment of the institution was the first of its kind designed to project the beauty and richness of African cultural prowess in Turkey .

She said the gesture was a clear demonstration of genuine concern and interest in African women and a process of strengthening the relationship of their various countries with the host nation

Mrs Buhari, who was represented by the Wife of the Vice President Mrs Dolapo Osinbanjo explained that series of programmes were being implemented under the Future Assured initiative designed to improve the health status of women and children in every part of the country .

In her address the first lady of Turkey Mrs Emine Erdogan said that her genuine interest in beneficial collaboration between her country and Africa informed her decision to encourage the establishment of the handcraft market and house of culture .
Mrs Erdogan expressed confidence that the market will provide an avenue to improve the economies of both countries and boost the cultural affinity of Turkey and countries in Africa .
The first ladies of Guinea,Mali and the spouse of the Ethiopian Prime Minister Roman Tesfaye in separate remarks expressed delight with the concept of Mrs Erdogan to promote relations between their countries and Africa .
